About me
Amy Altamirano earned her Master of Science from Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia, and serves as the Director of Early Childhood Intervention (ECI) Services at Brighton Center in San Antonio, Texas. With more than 20 years of experience in pediatric care across school-based programs, outpatient clinics, and home health, Amy brings a well-rounded perspective to her work. Over the past decade at Brighton Center, Amy has focused on supporting young children with complex developmental needs and their families through family-centered practices embedded in everyday routines, using a coaching approach.
Amy has presented at local and state conferences, sharing practical, evidence-informed strategies to support collaboration across various therapy disciplines within the scope of Early Intervention. She is committed to helping create inclusive environments where children of all abilities, and their families, feel valued and supported.
Amy's work is also personal. Her husband, Ed, is an ECSE teacher in a co-teach classroom. With 9-year-old twin boys, who have been diagnosed with ADHD and autism. Amy's home life continues to shape her perspectives both professionally and personally deepening her commitment to inclusion.
